I offer a bespoke editing and mentoring service for anyone – whether you are working on your first or fifteenth draft.

Initially, I will look at your manuscript with a reader’s eye, first and foremost telling you how I respond to it instinctively as a story. Then I’ll put on my editor’s hat and consider it in the whole – structurally; plot-wise; and in terms of your characters and motivations. I will provide you with comments on the manuscript and a full report where I will go into my thoughts and editorial advice in more detail.

I have taught creative writing for many years – as part of The Singapore Writers’ Group (which I founded); in schools; prisons; and at La Salle College of the Arts in Singapore. I love the process of editing and shaping a story into a better whole. I also love working with first-time authors who are new to the world of finding an agent and getting published.
